originally issued as a cassette EP, 'pIague harvest' encrypts the further transformation into pure dark ambience. Field recordings yanked from the trees like dead leaves mix with streams of electronics running beneath the soil. Included also is a bonus 10” of ‘ruination, a new dawn cometh,' which was previously only available digitally, exposing again a precursor and foreshadowing of this cautionary tale that what sustains life can easily grow to smother it.

I love the mix of quiet melancholy and soaring wonder here. Listening makes me feel like I am looking up at the night sky on another world, watching impossible boreal colors dance along the horizon while tall trees sway in the keening wind, and gray-cloaked figures add their own long-dead voices to the joyful lament.
